Cloud-native technologies, distributed communication systems, and artificial intelligence (AI) are increasingly considered for military radar infrastructure, but they introduce cybersecurity and forensic risks in the defense missions where they would be deployed. This paper presents a structured narrative review of recent work on AI-based cyber protection and digital forensics for military radar systems in a cloud-computing context. It examines cloud-native security architectures, including DevSecOps and Zero Trust; AI-driven cyber defense; digital forensics in cloud environments; and electronic warfare (EW) threats to radar. The reviewed studies explore anomaly detection, predictive threat analysis, automated response, and cyber situational awareness in distributed systems, but their performance in operational military radar environments is unverified. Most address cloud security, threat intelligence, or forensics in isolation, and few address integrated solutions. We organize the threats discussed in the literature by the layer they target, compare representative studies and approach classes against explicit qualitative criteria, map relevant civilian standards, identify five research gaps, and outline an illustrative conceptual architecture with evaluation considerations. No experimental evaluation was performed, and findings are extrapolated from enterprise, maritime, and civilian sources rather than validated for military radar.
