AUTONOMOUS FIRE DETECTION AND EXTINGUISHING ROBOT USING IOT TECHNOLOGY

Fire is a raging threat, a menace to property, life and environment which is likely to get out of control to become a disaster once it has overtaken the region because of early warning and inability to do act timely. Conventional monitoring and sensors such as smoke sensors and fire sensors can just offer an alert, but the human side of firefighting involves human intervention which leaves numerous areas unmonitored. In response to this, we have built an autonomous fire-fighting robot that can detect, approach the fire, and extinguish the fire automatically. The system consists of an Infrared (IR) flame sensor (it is optional to use flame sensor) to detect the fire, an Arduino Uno micro controller to operate the system, BO motors with a motor driver to control the movements, a servo controlled water nozzle with a mini pump to suppress the fire. The robot is affordable and can be used in highly varied locations such as homes, warehouses, factories and offices, with components that are low-cost and readily available, and can be easily recharged. This project is aimed at delivering a low-cost, autonomous fire-fighting solution that enhances early warning, response and suppression, risk reduction, lifesaving, and property protection.
